HadithAnswers.com is a site that seeks to serve the Muslim World by attending to queries that pertain to the Noble Traditions of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam).

All questions are either answered or checked by Moulana Haroon Abasoomar (rahimahullah) who is a Shaykhul Hadith in South Africa, or by his son, Moulana Muhammad Abasoomer (hafizahullah) a Hadith specialist. Answers are kept as brief as possible. Lengthy analysis are posted on www.Al-Miftah.com

This site was inspired by the advices of Shaykh Muhammad ‘Awwamah (hafizahullah) the Grand Syrian Muhaddith currently residing in Madinatul Munawwarah. The Respected Shaykh (hafizahullah) during his first visit to South Africa (in June 2012) stressed on the need for specialisation in the various Islamic fields of knowledge. The site was launched to coincide with Shaykh ‘Awwamah’s next visit to South Africa in January 2014. He was pleased to hear of it & blessed the site with his du’as & also offered some principle guidelines on how to attend to Contemporary Hadith queries. Moulana Muhammad is the Shaykh’s student (and a student of other Senior Contemporary Hadith scholars).

He thereafter decided to pursue the study of the science of Iftaa (issuing fataawa) under the tutorage of qualified scholars viz. Mufti Ebrahim Salajee (Hafizahullah) (principal and head mufti of Darul Uloom Taleemuddeen, Isipingo Beach), Mufti Ebrahim Desai (Hafizahullah) (head of Darul Iftaa Mahmoodiyya) and Mufti Qaadhi Sayyid Abdul Jaleel (Hafizahullah). Mufti Saheb is also actively involved in the Ifta department as well as training students in the science of Iftaa (issuing Islamic rulings). This website was launched by Mufti Saheb primarily to impart the fataawa of his august Shaikh and respected ustadh Hadhrat Mufti Ebrahim Salajee (Hafizahullah), as well as to answer the masaa’il and queries of the Ummah.

May Allah Ta’ala allow Mufti Zakaria Saheb to serve the Muslim Ummah for many more years and allow the entire ummah to benefit.

**The Council of Ulama Eastern Cape (CUEC) or Lajnatul Ulama was formed at the end of 1999 with the aim of co-ordinating the activities of the various Ulama in the Eastern Cape. The founding members included Moulana Junaid Adam, the current Ameer, and Moulana Is’haaq Ackerdien. The need arose to form an organization as there was an increase in the number of graduating Ulama and there was an ever-increasing demand by the community for the services of the Ulama. Senior Ulama were doing a sterling job in the past but it was felt that the time had come to co-ordinate their current activities and operate from an independent, accessible office. Meetings were held with the Ulama and a formal structure was established.
